We saw seven houses yesterday. Seven. Same number as the Von Trapp children, a meaningless fact I haven't been able to get out of my head all day.

As I had come to expect, we did not get OMG HOUSE. That's fine; we liked it but didn't love it (which is less important when you're renting, but still), and it really was way more house than we needed at all ( Read more... )

So this morning, Himself having slept on it, we were go for OMG HOUSE. I went to the property manager's website to get the online application started, and the way you do that is by clicking an "apply now!" button from the individual listing. So I went to the listings. Himself has to sleep on it to make sure he's certain he feels as good about the decision as he thinks he does, but assuming nothing changes between now and lunch time tomorrow, we've chosen a house to move into. Together.

We're still just renting, so I feel a little silly being all OMGHOUSE, but: OMG! HOUSE!

Today I wrote and handed in the second-last paper I will ever write as a student. (This time I'm pretty sure I mean it.) The last one is an 8-10-pager due in a month (and worth 40% of the grade).
